Professor Brian Mullgardt holds a PhD in History from the University of Connecticut.  He is the Director of the School of Social Sciences and the Coordinator of the Social Science Education program.  Dr. Mullgardt specializes in U.S. history during the Cold War.  He has published in numerous journals and his book, published by Southern Illinois University Press and titled Wear Some Armor in Your Hair: Urban Renewal and the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Lincoln Park, was released in May of 2024.
