- Students must self-identify their need for accommodations and self-advocate at all times.
- Students must meet with a staff member in the Student Success Center to discuss accommodation eligibility. Arrangements for accommodation are made on an individual basis and are designed to equalize access to educational opportunities.
- Students must sign a release form so that the designated ADA staff member in the Student Success Center can communicate with course instructors.
- A set of letters listing the appropriate accommodations will be prepared. Students can pick-up their letters at the Student Success Center and hand deliver them to their professors.
- Students must present their accommodation letters to their professors within three days of receiving the letters, in order to receive exam accommodations. Professors need sufficient notice.
- Students should schedule an appointment with the designated ADA Coordinator if (1) they need to modify their accommodations request; (2) they are experiencing academic difficulties; or (3) have questions or need advice.
- Students should arrange an individual appointment with their professors to discuss their accommodation needs during the first week of the semester.
- Late requests for accommodations may cause a delay in the requested services.
- Student must meet with the administrative assistant for the Student Success Center who will coordinate routine testing accommodations and oversee testing center procedures.
- Students must sign an agreement acknowledging their understanding of the accommodation process and agreeing to adhere to testing center procedures.
