Millikin University invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance, effective August 2025. Qualifications are Ph.D. in Economics or Finance with a strong academic and applied background in economics and finance. ABDs will be considered. Individuals with industry experience are a plus. Candidates must be fiercely dedicated to teaching, maintain active scholarship and engagement in their field, and contribute service to the university. 

Millikin University seeks an individual who is passionate about teaching undergraduate students the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills related to economics and finance in a hands-on learning environment. Areas of teaching include macroeconomics, microeconomics, business finance, and upper-level finance courses. 

Candidates are expected to embrace a teaching philosophy grounded in experiential learning consistent with an institution that extensively engages both its faculty and students in cooperative ventures with local businesses and organizations. Student advising and mentoring is an important part of teaching. Standard teaching load for full-time tenure-track faculty is four courses per semester. Candidates will work closely with corporate partners to advance opportunities for our students.
