Carrie Pierson, Dean of Academic Support Service and ADA Coordinator in the Center for Academic and Professional Performance (CAPP), came to Millikin University in 2007. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education, a Master鈥檚 degree in Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, and is certified to teach students with learning disabilities. Ms. Pierson leads the CAPP team, provides advising services to Exploratory, Transitional, and Probation students and teaches Academic Strategies for Success, as well as supports Professional Preparation efforts on campus. Also, Ms. Pierson supports students with documented disabilities in the classroom and with other needs, they may have across campus helping guide them to a successful transition to college. In Carrie's free time, she teaches dance at Studio B Legacy in Mt. Zion Il. She has danced and taught at Studio B for 40 years and shares the love of dance with her daughters, Reed (18) and Lillie (17). Carrie is located in the University Commons office 312.
