The College of Fine Arts serves students who are artists, media makers and arts managers. Our students are moving the arts forward through new cross-disciplinary and creative entrepreneurial initiatives, technical innovation and collaborative artistic endeavors. They serve audiences who wish to be entertained, healed or moved to act.
Often, audiences do not have the opportunity to see the applications of theory and practice taking place in the process of the creation of art and media. Celebrations of Scholarship invites audiences to gaze at the behind-the-scenes process 鈥 which includes analysis, research and critically informed aesthetic judgment 鈥 and learn how the arts are being used to shape the vast landscape of creative industries in our world today.
Today is your opportunity to celebrate the process of creation and research with our students. Perhaps you will leave with a greater appreciation of the process than the original product.
