Access Control/ID Issues
Public Safety manages the day to day issues involving the access control (swipe entry) system. If you lose your ID Card contact Public Safety immediately, Public Safety can de-activate your card to safeguard your meal/flex plan monies. If ID services are not available, Public Safety can issue you a temporary card for use until your ID can be replaced. If your ID stops working, contact Public Safety while you are at your swipe point so they can troubleshoot the issue for you in real time.
Battery Jump starts
Public Safety can provide jump start services to campus community members and visitors parked in University lots.
Crisis Communication Information

Keys
Public Safety issues physical keys providing access to a variety of spaces on campus to campus community members as needed and approved.
Lock Out Services
If a community member finds themselves locked out of a space they are approved to have access to (e.g.; residential room), Public Safety will respond to permit access. A small fee may be assessed for residential lock outs.
Lost and Found
Public Safety is the primary lost and found repository on campus. Items of value that are located are secured and often posted on the MU website bulletin boards by Public Safety.
Blue Light Phones
Monitored by Public Safety 24/7, emergency phones are located at various locations around campus. If you require assistance of any kind, do not hesitate to utilize these devices.
Safe Rides and Safe Walks
From dusk until dawn each day, Public Safety offers Safe Rides or Safe Walks, for the safety of community members moving about campus property or affiliate properties.
Fire Information
Public Safety monitors all fire alarms and fire systems on campus. Emergency action plans pertaining to all manner of emergencies are strategically posted in most campus buildings. Campus community members are encouraged to acquaint themselves with the information in these plans to improve their personal planning for safety on campus.
