Exercise Science & Sport Pavilion
The Exercise Science & Sport Program at Millikin has grown considerably. With over 200 students preparing for a variety of career paths, the increasing demand for the program has stretched beyond campus capacity. Classes are also held in up to eight different facilities across campus. The outstanding facilities feature versatile, multi-use spaces that promote endless hands-on learning opportunities.

Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC)
The was built as a joint project of the Decatur Park District and Millikin University. The 87,000 square foot building is an on-campus athletic facility. The DISC houses Millikin intramurals and indoor practices for track, baseball, softball, and soccer. The Center facilities include a 4 lane, 200-meter competition grade Mondo track, which includes a 6-lane sprint straightaway, a jumping pit and vaulting area. The infield of the track includes a soccer field with dasher boards and basketball and volleyball courts. Golf practice and instruction facilities include: putting greens, driving nets with a swing analyzer, two virtual golf simulators, a net enclosure for practice using pitching and sand wedges, complete with a sand trap and rough area. The Dorothy McClure/ Ralph Allen Fitness-Wellness center includes cardiovascular and strength training equipment. The cardiovascular equipment includes: stationary bikes, recumbent bikes, Stairmasters, treadmills, elliptical machines, and an upper extremity ergometer. The strength training area includes machine weights, exercise stations and free weights and platforms. The DISC is located on the south side of campus.
Millikin Sports Medicine
Located within the Griswold Physical Education Center, the athletic training facilities allow for academic and hands-on education. Faculty offices and student work areas are part of the facility, which was completed in 1996.
Areas have been designated for taping, treatment, first aid and rehabilitation. Many Exercise Science & Sport classes take place in these areas, which were designed to replicate professional athletic training departments. The facilities are used as athletic training rooms for the University's teams.
Frank M. Lindsey Field and Track Complex
Located just north of the Griswold Center, Frank M. Lindsay Field is home to football, men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 soccer and the men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 track and field programs.
The facility underwent major renovations in 2014 as a part of 黑料正能量 Transform MU capital campaign. A new artificial turf playing field was installed along with a refurbished track surface. Lights and new scoreboard including a giant video board were added. The stadium seats 4,000, including seating on the west side of the stadium. Lindsay Field also includes a press box and a concession stand and restrooms under the southwest corner of the grandstand. The 8-lane, all-weather track and field events area can host track meets of any size.
Fairview Park Tennis Complex and Trails
is located in Fairview Park just west of the Millikin campus. In addition to being the home for the Millikin Men's and Women's Tennis teams, each summer the complex hosts the Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic. Millikin's Cross Country teams utilize Fairview Park and its series of bike trails for many of their practices.
Fairview Park is 190 acres of green space devoted to family recreation. Its pavilions are host to many gatherings, and youngsters enjoy trying to lure "big ones" from Dreamland Lake. Walkers, runners and bikers enjoy a paved trail which winds throughout Fairview Park, crosses Stevens Creek and traces the historic Interurban Railway. The Trail leads through Kiwanis Park, another favorite training spot for the Big Blue and to the Macon County Conservation District Bikeway at Rock Springs Environmental Center. Rock Springs is also utilized by the Big Blue Cross Country teams for practice with its network of trails.
Millikin Golf Facilities
Indoor Golf Facility
Millikin golfers can practice all winter long at the indoor golf facility at the located on campus. The center features two golf simulators, indoor putting greens and a netted area for practicing irons, short game and chipping.
Outdoor Golf Facilities
The Millikin Men's and Women's Golf teams use some of the best public golf courses in the United States right here in Decatur. The Big Blue plays and practices at three of the city's public courses: Red Tail Run Golf Club, Hickory Point Golf Course and Scovill Park Golf Course.
was designed by legendary hall of fame player Taymond Floyd and opened for play in 2006. Located on Decatur's south side, Red Tail Run Golf Course is designed for players of all skill levels - from novice to champion. With five tee locations providing multiple angles to the fairway, Red Tail Run brings you a driving range with double tees, golf academy programming and the First Tee Learning Center.
is located in Forsyth, Ill., just five miles from campus. It provides a 6,200-yard par 72 course, designed for both the beginner and the competitive golfer. Its flat fairways are perfect for learning, while long distances and the ever-present wind provide challenges for more experienced golfers. It is a lighted drive range and hosts a variety of golf clinics.
