“Live magic is unlike anything else,” said Bryan Diver, Director of Kirkland Fine Arts Center. “It’s incredible that we were able to get Jason Hudy for our season opener, and we look forward to hearing the amazement from the audience when they see what he can do!”

Originally from Livonia, Mich., Jason Hudy has been performing professionally since age 13. At 12, he fell in love with magic after seeing his first magic show at the library. Realizing he could teach himself tricks from the books in the library, he got to work: “Soon I was doing magic for my Grandma’s senior citizen complex for an Easter celebration,” said Hudy. “My parents thought it would be a two-week hobby, and 25 years later, I am still doing magic.”

In his decades-long career, Hudy has headlined his own original hour-long dinner theater show, performed for Disney, ESPN, Hershey, Chevrolet, and other corporations, wowed audiences at amusement parks, theaters, and performing arts centers, toured college campuses and trade shows across the nation, performed in a touring variety show and as after-dinner entertainment—and so much more. In his younger years, Hudy performed at elementary schools, daycares, libraries, birthday parties, nursing homes, community centers, and elsewhere. Some of Hudy’s more interesting "performing" jobs have included being the host of a game show (similar to "Minute to Win It), announcing Pig Races for a summer (African Safari Wildlife Park, summer 2004), and even spending a summer dancing/singing in a song and dance show!

His magic show has evolved into a dazzling combination of audience interaction and imagination, with a grand spectacle of tricks and illusions that will delight and amaze. Hugh Warren, show co-producer at the Mountain of Entertainment Theater in Tennessee, said: “Jason is one of the best magicians I have ever seen. He is extremely special and unique. His show mixes amazing magic with music, and it is mesmerizing! This is a fun, magical experience for the entire family!” Get your tickets now!
