DECATUR, Ill. – students and alumni looking for employment this spring and summer and after graduation will have several upcoming events to help their job search.
Ahead of the Spring 2024 , Millikin University’s will hold a Dress to Impress event on Wednesday, January 31, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance on the first floor of the University Commons.
The event is open to Millikin students and offers professional clothes for everyone to prepare for future job interviews. Come pick out a free outfit to give you the confidence to succeed in your job search.
The Student Success Center will host the Spring 2024 Career Fair on Wednesday, February 21, from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bob and Debi Johnston Banquet Rooms on the third floor of the University Commons. The event is open to all Millikin students and alumni.
ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Career Fairs allow employers to meet qualified and well-prepared Millikin students and alumni seeking full-time job opportunities, obtain resumes and informally interview or screen candidates.
Employers from local businesses, healthcare, government, education, social services and non-profits will share their internship and career opportunities at the fair.
Millikin students have a 99% success rate of gaining employment or entering graduate or professional school within six months of graduation, compared to the 71% national average.
The Decatur Park District is also holding a Hiring Fair for part-time and seasonal positions for the spring and summer on Friday, February 16, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Decatur Indoor Sports Center (DISC) at 1295 W. Wood St.
