The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion for Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) Program is for APRNs who want to complete the practice doctorate as their highest earned academic degree. The DNP is a practice-focused doctorate similar in scope to those practice doctorates offered in other professional disciplines.

Students who can enroll in the DNP Completion for APRNs Program are those holding advanced practice licensure in the state of Illinois as either a nurse midwife, a nurse anesthetist, a clinical specialist or a nurse practitioner.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses enrolled in this program will require 26-28 hours to complete the degree. Master's-level APRN transcripts will be reviewed individually to determine the residency hours required for each student. Coursework in this program is designed to be completed on a part-time basis over a 30-month period.
