The School of Theatre & Dance offers five major degree programs and two minor programs all within the context of a liberal arts education. Competent craftsmanship, creativity, and the development of artistic responsibility are emphasized throughout a student's career. Students are admitted to the BFA programs based upon auditions and/or interviews and only after being admitted to the University. Students must pass a second audition/interview at the end of their freshman year to continue in BFA programs.
Combine coursework in technical theatre, communications and management with internship opportunities and stage management assignments to build the skills you’ll need for a career in professional stage management.
This program helps students develop a course of study uniquely tailored to their own career goals in performance. Students will acquire deep knowledge about analysis and theory of theatre and performance and apply those skills in areas from traditional theatre to devised theory and performance art.
This certificate program can be earned with the completion of 12 credit hours of Millikin dance courses of the student's choice. Students must enroll in courses in at least 2 different styles of dance.
